LOS ANGELES, CA. Project 760 Productions welcomes Joshua Sean Solomon to the Southern California Media Team. Joshua comes to us with television experience in Film and Television, as well as experience as a freelance photographer. His background includes television studio experience as a camera and teleprompter operator for Antelope Valley’s AV3 News in California’s High Desert region and documentary experience for local Southern California churches. Joshua’s own videos have received over 200,000 views on YouTube with ratings of 4 out of 5. In 2011, he was the Director of Photography for the short film “Art of Deception,” directed by Timothy J. Lee. With degrees in Sociology, and Letters, Arts & Science, Joshua brings a variety of experience and a different perspective on the world that we are looking forward to presenting to our viewers.

Synopsis: Project 760 Productions renamed its anime news arm to World of Anime 760. The name originates from its days of World of Anime, which produced Japanese animation related news and editorial segments on the internet and on television. World of Anime on Podcast (Internet Podcast)
Synopsis: World of Anime on Podcast was a re-creation of the World of Anime Radio Program for podcast listeners. World of Anime on Podcast was hosted by Agent 760 and discusses the news, reviews, Japanese popular culture and all-around anime fandom that fans have come to expect from World of Anime. World of Anime on Podcast podcasted from May 2005 to August 2005.
World of Anime (TV Program)
Synopsis: New to the anime scene? World of Anime demystifies the anime lifestyle for mainstream fans and introduces viewers to the anime, manga, J-Pop, cosplay and convention scenes, while poking fun at ourselves and the hard-core fans (also known as otaku in some circles) in the process. This was Project 760’s Productions’ second television program produced for local access television. The first series of World of Anime began production in January 1998 and ended in January 2002. Its Real World of Anime series and Ani-Magic 2001 episodes have been re-compiled into Video CD Releases called “World of Anime Presents: The Real World of Anime: Special Edition” and “World of Anime Presents: The Autumn Dream Returns: Ani-Magic™ 2001 Special Edition.”

World of Anime broadcasted from 1998 to 2002 on the CityVisions public access station in San Francisco, California. In 1999, World of Anime began to expand to 3 Eastern Contra Costa County cities in California (Antioch, Pittsburg and Bay Point), Little Rock, Arkansas on Comcast, Mountain View, California on KMVT, and 3 cities (Dayton, Trotwood and Butler Township) on the Dayton Community Access Television system in Dayton, Ohio.

Synopsis: An extension of the World of Anime television series, the World of Anime Radio Program (WARP) brought the fans who couldn’t see World of Anime together on the internet in February 2000.

Paintball TV (TV Special)
Synopsis: Before you get onto the paintball fields, be sure you know what to expect out there. Paintball TV brings novices and spectators into one of the most popular survival games in the country. Join host Richard Lee, a paintball enthusiast and leader of the Gators paintball team, as he explains the basics of paintball from the types of paintball games to what you need to get started before setting foot on a paintball field.
Production Notes:
Richard Lee led the CyberSports club at San Francisco State University, which focused on computer and console-based video games and survival games like paintball. When the opportunity to put together a television program based on one of Richard’s hobbies, an experimental pilot of what would set the tone of Paintball TV was born. Produced in 1996 as a college project for producer Ray Nagar, Paintball TV was shot at various paintball fields in Northern California, with a majority of the footage shot at the former Mare Island Paintball Field in Vallejo, California.

Otaku Bowl

Otaku Bowl is a social event that fuses anime fandom and bowling to make a fun social activity for fans of Japanese animation, bowling or anything in between. Otaku Bowl events include bowling and social networking with other fans of anime, manga and cosplay, along with food and drinks.
Otaku Bowl is a Project 760 Event and is sponsored in part by Pacific Media Expo.

Gadouken Gauntlet was a video gaming tournament geared toward competitive fans of fighting games. Gadouken Gauntlet is managed by Project 760 Productions in association with Hyperbooster’s Studio and sponsored in part by Anime V.
Project HyperJam
(Music Showcase)
Project HyperJam is a launch event that invites fans to sample events that will take place at Hyper-Con, a Hyperbooster’s Studio Event managed by Project 760 Productions. Project HyperJam features a swap meet and artist alley section and live performances by musicians and artists from the anime, manga and cosplay scene.
Japantown Arts Festival

Project 760 Productions, the organizers for JTAF (also known as “Japan Town Anime Faire”), announces its full name change from JTAF to Japan Town Arts Festival, an event showcasing arts and crafts by artists inspired by Japanese entertainment. The name change is in response to the change in focus of JTAF from an anime convention to an event that focuses on the appreciation of arts and crafts inspired by the Japanese entertainment. The convention that was formerly known as “JTAF” or “Japantown Anime Faire” is now known as “Otaku Amusement Festival” and will be managed by Project 760 Productions.
“Japan Town Arts Festival hopes to offer the public an opportunity to experience the talent of artists ranging from sketch artists to masters of the needle and thread,” says Ray Nagar, Chief Organizer of the Japan Town Arts Festival. “We hope that this event is beneficial to the artists who would like to showcase their work and to the Japantown area, which has been one of the key locations in promoting Japanese popular culture to the Bay Area.”
Nisei Week’s Little Tokyo Anime Festival

Little Tokyo Anime Festival was created to celebrate Japanese Animation in the Los Angeles area. Originally named “Cosmic Summer Anime Festival” in its earlier years, the festival acknowledges Japanese animation (known as “anime”) in America and includes events such as costume (or “cosplay”) events and free video screenings of the latest in Japanese animation distributed in the United States and Japan.
The Little Tokyo Anime Festival is a joint presentation of Project 760 Productions and The Nisei Week Festival, organized through the Nisei Week Foundation in Los Angeles, California. The Nisei Week Foundation promotes the Japanese and Japanese American heritage and traditions while bringing together the diverse communities of Southern California through arts and cultural education.
Project 760’s Screening Room

Project 760’s Screening Room is an extension of events outside of JTAF Bay Area. The Screening Room features video releases from various video distributors and record companies, as well as music videos from companies specializing in Japanese Pop (J-Pop) music such as Tofu Records, ADV Films, Urban Vision, Central Park Media, AN Entertainment and Bandai Entertainment. This event has been created to further familiarize the public with anime and J-Pop while becoming additional programming for special events, such as the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival.

Project 760 Productions is a multimedia company, which produces internet media content and other media collaborations headquartered in San Francisco, California. Founded by Ray Nagar in 1997, the company emphasizes production of special interest programs and events that inform, educate and entertain audiences on a variety of topics catering to various age groups.
Project 760 Productions raises awareness of hobbies and important causes through community events and programs on new media.
HIGHLIGHTS
- Project 760 Productions created its first public access program in 1997 entitled Paintball TV, an introductory program on the sport of paintball and what novices can do to get started. Paintball TV aired in August 1997 on the CityVisions community access outlet on TCI Cable channel 53 in San Francisco, California.
- In 1998 Project 760 Productions produces World of Anime, a Japanese animation (anime) fandom video magazine focusing on anime reviews and topics related to the North American anime industry. A companion program on internet radio World of Anime Radio Program (WARP) followed thereafter in 2000.
- Project 760 Productions entered the special events market in 2003 with the JapanTown Anime Faire (now called JTAF), an anime convention held in San Francisco’s Japantown in association with Japantown Merchants’ Association as well as Anime Theater, a screening room that spotlights Japanese entertainment (anime, j-pop, etc.) during special events like the Northern California Cherry Blossom Festival.
- In June 2004, Project 760 Productions launched Unwound , a collaboration with MIS Productions’ Japan-A-Radio network featuring hosts Michael Garcia and Jesse Barredo. It was acquired completely by MiS Productions in March 2005.
- In May 2005, Project 760 Productions launched World of Anime on Podcast, a talk show discussing all-around anime fandom.
- In March 2006, Project 760 Productions creates a social event called Otaku Bowl, a gathering of anime fans which included interactive bowling events, costume contests, artist alley, swap meet and an anime theater.
- In December 2009, Project 760 teams up with Bordin Marsinkul of Hyperbooster Studios on a series of events. The first event in their collaboration is Project HyperJam, a single-day art and music event for the Japanese animation community that promotes independent artists that receive their inspiration from Japanese Animation, Comics and Video Games, that launched on April 24, 2010. Their second collaboration is Hyper-Con, a larger-scale version of Project HyperJam, which launched on September 18, 2010.
- January 2010, Project 760 Productions teamed up with Sac-Anime as part of Sac-Anime’s Live Music Department. Its first music show under Sac-Anime included musical guests Keshiki, Phoenix Ash and Mari Iijima, along with Sac-Anime’s resident band akai SKY.
- March 2011, Project 760 Productions, along with Hyperbooster Studios and San Jose-based retailer Anime V, enters the video gaming circuit and announces its first Video Gaming Tournament titled The Gadouken Gauntlet, focusing on popular fighting video games like Super Street Fighter IV from Capcom, Tekken 6 from Namco Bandai, and BlazBlue from Aksys Games.
